  1. Select an image

Choose an image file from the toolbar file input. The original file size will be displayed.

FAQ

Can I compress PNG images?

PNG is a lossless format, so the quality slider has no effect on PNG output. For significant file size reduction, select JPEG or WebP output format.

What quality setting is recommended?

For web images, 70-80% is common. For print, 90%+ is recommended. Lower quality means smaller files but more visible compression artifacts.

Are images uploaded to a server?

No. All compression uses the browser Canvas API. Image data is never transmitted externally.
