Does it convert Kanji or Latin letters?
No. Only Hiragana and Katakana are converted. Kanji, Latin letters, numbers, and symbols are left unchanged.
Does it support halfwidth Katakana?
Yes. Halfwidth Katakana sequences are normalized before conversion when possible.
